ALL STARS:Every spring starting in June, Little League runs the International Softball Tournament. This tournament includes divisions of play for players in the Seniors ( 16U), Juniors (14U), Majors (12U), 11U and 10U. All divisions can advance to state tournaments with the older divisions ( Majors and up) also having Regionals ( played at the WR complex in San Bernardino) and World Series ( played at various locations based on the age group) which is what we see on ESPN every summer.
All Star player nominations will be conducted by a couple of different factors. Players will a have a vote on who they feel deserves a chance to try out. Managers will also be able to nominate some players to try out. Try outs will be conducted based on these nominations and the teams will be selected from oldest to youngest by a committee that will included the selected All Star manager, the division managers from the regular season and the CLEW board. Not every team will have a player selected but each team will indeed have a manger who can lobby for any player on their regular season team.
At this time CLEW has not set up any addition cost associated with the ALL STAR teams but usually that only the cost to cover additional uniform that the players will receive for All Stars.
