1.    Can boys play CLEW Softball? No, CLEW Softball is a girls softball program. Boys are encouraged to play Little League Baseball at Canyon Lake LL,  Lake Elsinore LL or another LL baseball program.

2.    When are practice days and time? This will vary per team. The manager of the team has some freedom on choice of practice days, depending on field availability and the league will schedule games. Usually teams will practice once or twice a week and have one or two games per week.

3.    What rule set do you follow? We use Little League Softball rules and age chart.

4.    Can we come to evaluations first (before registering) to see if we like it? No, all players must be registered before they can be on the field for insurance purposes.

5.    Can a player play “up”? Yes, your player will be evaluated and will be placed on a team that is appropriate for her skill level.

6.    Can we request a specific coach or teammate? In the lower divisions, yes, although it is not guaranteed. Siblings are usually placed on the same team if age appropriate. In the upper divisions, no because it is a draft.

7.    Do payers have to be drafted and placed on teams or can a group stay together? All payers are drafted or placed on teams each season.

8.    Do you offer financial assistance? There are several programs that offer assistance, please reach out to us.

9.    Will this league compete with LEGS, MVGS, etc.? No, we are a Little League softball program and will only play with other LL organizations.

10.  Why is my daughter a different league age than her actual age? Please refer to the official LL Softball age chart. This has her League Age.

11.  What if we don’t live in Canyon Lake, Lake Elsinore or Wildomar? Players 7 and under may play in any Little League program they choose. Players older than may be able to register using a “waiver” request to play outside their local league boundaries

12.  What’s included in the registration fee? Registration includes a jersey, socks, and belt. Insurance, photo and team photo, and a small end of the year award. During the spring season, All Stars are available for any player that meets there requirements to participate in the international tournament. and each team will be assigned snack bar duty. However, there is a $50 buyout option available.

13.  Does Little League offer select programs? Little does have the options for select program and travel within the Little League districts. These options will be discussed for our league once we finish registration. 

14. Where are Games Played? Games are scheduled to be played at Marna O'Brien Park, and if necessary, additional games will be played at Swick Matich Park in Lake Elsinore.

15. Are there Umpires for Games?  All games will have umpires.

16. Are there Playoff's? The season will include playoffs
